About the Artist

Chinese artist Zhongyao Wang expresses her ideas through animation design and installation. Zhongyao believes that at the core of art lies a concept, and the medium follows it.  She used to be inspired by the intersection of creative practices, a multimedia artist at heart, however, her approach is transforming now. This is how she explains it: "A few years ago, the social scene was my creative inspiration, but recently I found myself paying more and more attention to the existence of trivial things around me. Maybe it's because I accept the fact that I am a female creator. I want to tell the story of small things through the eyes of women instead of trying to stand on the commanding point of thinking and wanting my works to contain all things.
